We are dedicated to serving the less fortunate in our

collects non-perishable items to be used by Lutheran
Social Services locally in Ventura County. Each month
we will highlight special need items. Such as:

| Oatmeal |
Detergent |
| Beans |
Paper goods |
| Pancake mix |
|
| Tortillas |

Community Meal
Members of King of Glory serve the community by feeding the less fortunate
of Conejo Valley every 3rd Saturday of the month at
6:30 PM
at St. Julie's Catholic Church (food preparers and
servers at arrive at 5:30 PM). We prepare a full course
meal consisting of entrée, vegetable, salad, bread, fruit, dessert
and drink. We enjoy the fellowship with all the
attendees. The greatest
reward comes when one of the guests says "I won’t see you
anymore because I have a job." It is a fun and rewarding
evening for all of us who help. You can participate by
providing food only, or by helping to serve the meal or
both. A sign up sheet is on a clip board in the Welcome
Center. For more information contact Ardath or Renate
Lee by calling the Church office at 498-4812.
World Hunger Sunday
On the first Sunday of each month King of
Glory collects monetary and food donations for the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) World Hunger Organization.
Envelopes are enclosed in the bulletin, and can be placed
in the special offering basket at the foot of the Altar
next to the container for collection of non-perishable
foods.

Daily Vacation
Bible School
Each year in August a Daily Vacation
Bible School is conducted with the combined efforts
of the Church and Preschool. In 2009 78 children
attended. The children had a fun filled learning
experience. All the teachers and helpers had a great
time.
For 2010 Vacation Bible School will be
held August 9-13 and the theme is High Seas Expedition.
The program will organize the children into multi age
teams that we call crews. Elementary kids will be in
mixed-age groups with other children who have finished
kindergarten through grade 5. These small "Crews" will
be led by adults or teenagers who love children
and love the Lord.
This will be an opportunity for your
child to make new friends and to learn or teach in the
multi age "crews:.
Registration forms are available in the
church office. Sign up you child for a High Seas
adventure.
