Ministries and Outreach
We believe in putting love into action, and service is at the core of our mission. You can read about some of our previous and ongoing ministries below. We would also love to have you participate! You can talk with us on a Sunday mornings.
Dinner for the HungryMembers of King of Glory serve the community by feeding the less fortunate of Conejo Valley every 3rd Saturday of the month. We prepare a full course meal consisting of entrée, vegetable, bread, fruit, dessert and drink. We package 50 meals to be distributed in Thousand Oaks. You can participate by providing food for 25 or 50 meals. A signup sheet is on a clipboard in the Welcome Center.

World Hunger SundayOn the first Sunday of each month King of Glory collects food donations to go to a local food pantry. Financial donations can also be made to the ELCA World Hunger Campaign, which you can learn more about here. Donation envelopes are enclosed in the bulletin, and food can be placed in front of the communion table. This is a valuable way for us to serve our neighbors and the world.

Adopt an AngelEach year after Thanksgiving King of Glory members provide gifts for children in families that cannot afford Christmas presents for their children. Members of the congregation picked gifts from an Amazon Wish List provided by Many Mansions, and they distribute the gifts to the needed families. In a very simple way King of Glory has helped provide a Merry Christmas for these children.

Other MinistriesKing of Glory has been active in many other ministries. These have included volunteering at local charitable organizations, participating in fundraising walks like CROP Walk, collecting eye glasses, and making school kits for children in need (pictured left). We believe it is important to serve one another in a variety of different ways. Please contact the church office if you have any questions or would like to participate. We would love to have you.
